The Prime Minister's Office acts as a role model inside the government offices. This office space is an orchestrator of many government entities, striving for positive change following a unified vision.
DESIGN CHALLENGE
The average age of employees in the PMO is currently 33, yet the space is designed for the taste of an older generation.
The so-called progressive interventions imply an eclectic style in the space, which feels uncanny. However, the difference between the demands of the older and younger generations in the workplace regarding spatial programming creates tension.
ANALYSIS
After 14 in-depth interviews with the PMO team, field research, and scanning the workspaces of extended PMO teams, the expectations of different generations were addressed by identifying creative tensions.
SYNTHESIS
Reshaping the PMO space and the way they work may have many implications for change. These changes, under cultural and structural changes, are studied.
The cultural change, influenced in part by spatial changes, thrives when coupled with organizational and behavioral shifts.
In the realm of spatial transformation, these goals are the precise components: creating an environment that reflects the PMO's values and mission, fostering a collaborative culture, and ensuring adaptability and functionality, all adding significant value.
